[ Post trial, Madoka is out in the courtyard. Just. Decompressing, staring out at nothing.
She notices Senri nearby, and meets his eyes, but only nods instead of calling out to him. It's a little bit out of character for her, but. It's been a long day. There's still plenty of space beside her, though. ]
[this poor sweet girl. senri will easily wrap his arms around her and keep her close until she pulls away first - he doesn't mind hugging for as long as she needs.]
[ She stays there for a long moment. She used to take a lot of comfort in hugs with her friends and - it reminds her of actually feeling vulnerable. It's glad that she doesn't lately, but... Well, that's still a loss, too.
She just nods at his words, holds on for a moment longer, and then draws back. ]
You too. You're not used to it, are you?
[ She says it as if she is used to it, but it's still clearly getting to her, so...? ]
she just makes a beeline straight for him and. very slowly and gently just walks into him to put her head against his chest. it's not quite a hug, but? ]
[ To be honest, usually when Madoka approaches Senri, it was because she was looking for him. But this time she meanders into the kitchen and seems surprised to see him, hesitating for just a moment before continuing on with looking around for something to snack on.
[ she starts getting out ingredients to make omelettes because she remembers watching Sieg make them and they had been really good, so that seems like something she can handle. ]
[ Madoka finds Senri wherever he's at and takes his hand. And then just starts gently tugging him towards the shrine because it's quiet and it's her favorite place right now.
She offers a surprisingly convincing smile over her shoulder. Somehow it's easier to push aside her own worries when she can see someone else suffering. It's always been that way. ]
[ she leads him up to the steps in front of the offering dish which is apparently her favorite place to sit, and gently tugs for him to sit beside her, all without letting go. ]
Mmhmm. We're almost done, and then we can all go home.
[ It's actually kind of weird that Madoka doesn't really seek out Senri for the rest of Saturday, after the trial. She only runs into him on Sunday - probably around the halls or something instead of settled anywhere. She's assumed that he'll want his whole weekend with Takaomi and Sasuke.
But she had been looking for him, and quickly approaches with a couple of lunch boxes in her arms. ]
One is for you and one is for Takaomi-kun, and one is for Sasuke-san.
I, um, didn't know anyone's favorite foods except for Takaomi-kun, but... [ there's hamburgers, daifuku mochi, and some kind of generic vegetable yakisoba. ] I figured you could all... Share?

.....
but he stops for madoka. and he switches course to go and sit next to her.]
.... How does another hug sound, Madopyon?
I don't know if it'll fix anything - or help at all. But... if there's something I can do, let me know.
[he sounds unsure.
but he is very sure that he doesn't want to see her like this.]
no subject
It helps. It doesn't fix anything, but it helps.

.... I think so too.
Sorry you have to go through all this.

[ . . . ]
Sorry I lied, Madopyon.
no subject
[ she sees the necessity of it. but she still hesitates before wrapping her arms around him. ]
Are you going to lie again?
no subject
If you don't ask me, then I won't have to.
But I'll say right now that I'm.... not sure what I'm going to do yet.
no subject
It's okay to not know what to do.
[ ... but she can't say the same for lying to her. even if... logically, she understands... ]

Um... Do you need some help?
[with. the lunchboxes and everything.]

Y-yes, actually. Could you take these for me?
