Well. People can do bad things for a good reason. We don't know what his wish was - it might be something really good. And even if he's a bad person doing this for a bad reason, that doesn't mean that the god he was aligned with was bad, too, but now they'll be down a follower.
It's just - when I look at the big picture, this contest can be hard to figure out like that.
It's true that I don't think it's good to hurt other people... And it's not as if I would want to reward that, either... But...
[ it's just - she's seen people do bad things for good reasons. and she's seen times where that was necessary. where it benefited her, and in the end, all magical girls. ]
You're - really thinking of a lot of deep stuff, Madopyon.
I... didn't think of all that. But he's... that guy was such a jerk! It's really hard to even... try to think about forgiving him. No matter how he needed to play the game, I don't think he needed to do it like that.
No - I think it's good, for you to think big picture.
[ . . . ]
Are you going back to Cheri after this week?
A lot of gods are nervous... Apollo was Beauty's follower, so he's down to one. Dizzy's down to one and doesn't talk to her last follower that much. I'll have to see if Cheri's follower is staying with him....
.... it's hard to pick, isn't it? I'm having that trouble too. Because I like that Justice is winning right now - I think he'd do well. But I also believe in Cheri, and Beauty....
[he shakes his head]
As long as all the gods have at least one - I'd be happy. If Beauty and Cheri are taken care of, I might go to Dizzy to make sure she doesn't drop to zero.
Just a few more weeks, and then it's over. I just want to make sure that... if we can protect people who don't have to die, we can do that until the game's over.
I... don't know who Dizzy's last follower is. I don't know if they'll stay, and I'm kind of worried.
Cheri - you know it's Jude-kun, right? I'm sure he went to talk to you... He'll stay for as long as he can.
Same with Beauty's.
But I know that I'm leaving Cunning, and so is another person who's aligned with him. So I'll be worried if everyone thinks we're all staying and just move again after.
So I guess... I'm most worried about Dizzy and Cunning right now.
But... Madopyon, I believe in your wish. I don't want you to risk not getting it, just for the sake of other gods....
Mm. [ she nods; she knew it was Jude. and she appreciates the input. she lets the silence sit for a moment. then just kind of... rambles while she's plating up their omelettes. ]
... My wish is for something important. I won't minimize that. But it's something to help with what's already happening. And my wish isn't the only reason I came here.
I just want to make this easier for everyone, and I wanted it to end in the best way possible. But I don't know what that is anymore.
It should be a good thing. I don't know what's best anymore, because I think that any of the gods could win and create a wonderful world, and they'll go on to rule it together forever. So they'll definitely learn to get along and work together, and learn how to improve that world...
[ it should be a relief to think that way. but it means that she has no idea who to be fighting for, now, or what to be doing. ]
[ . . . . senri nods, because it's not like he doesn't understand.]
... Piety wants to have a balanced world, and so far that's my favorite idea. But it's getting hard to convince people to go to him - I'm trying to see if maybe in the very last week, we can convince as many people as possible to choose him. But even if that doesn't work out....
Justice, Cunning, Beauty, and Cheri all have worlds I like. I think Bambi could become a really good leader too - I need to talk to Dizzy more about what she might want.
But all the gods are good, in their own ways.
People here keep telling me to choose... but it's hard, isn't it, Madopyon? When you like everyone, and want everyone to be happy?
[it's a little funny - how they've worked themselves into this difficult place just by being kind]
Well... that's part of why the competition is designed the way it is, I think. Instead of just having the gods bicker amongst themselves, it was Piety's idea to bring a third party in - and that's all of us, so that we can decide who's the most convincing.
[and he tilts his head]
... you're not alone in it. I guess it's whoever you're most convinced by, and the numbers will speak for themselves.
.... we can figure it out together. It's nice to know that there's someone else that's having the same problem that I am - liking all the gods entirely too much, and hoping that they can live in a world they're happy with.

I'm alright. It was even more hectic than last week... [ no thanks to you ] But at least we know we got the right person.
no subject
[and he offers up a smile - real and genuine]
I... It's a good thing, isn't it?
no subject
Um... That's actually hard to say.
no subject
What makes you say that, Madopyon....

[ in other words, she acknowledges that she has an easier time caring for people that she knows and cares about... ]
Still... It's hard to think about it in any smaller way.
[ wait, calling Senri's way of looking at it 'small' might be insulting... ] Um, not in a bad way.

The numbers are making me nervous again.

I don't know what I'm doing yet. I'd like to go back to Sincerity. I'd also like to go to Beauty if you're scared for them.
But I don't dislike Cunning, either.
[ . . . ]
In the end, I don't think it's right for any one god to win.
[ but that's the game, so. ]

[ it's not how the game was designed. gods need to be eliminated from the running for it to move forward, even if that puts them at risk. ]

Go to Disorder? Sincerity? Stay with Cunning? [ or something else? ]

.... you want me to tell you, Madopyon...?
That's... You know that's kind of scary... I don't want you to feel like you have to listen to me.

But I want to know what you think.

I still think that Sincerity's world is best... But...
Like I said, in the end, since they're still all going to be together - it's hard to want to push for someone just because I like their vision best.

I just wish we didn't have to hurt each other to get to that ending.

[senri just offers up a shaky little laugh]
Well, we'll see. I know a lot of people who are working hard to protect as many people as they can.
