It sounds like Ray-kun wrote letters to the others and implied that Catra-san was the one who killed him. So... Ishikirimaru-san helped to cover up that Sasuke-san... Made sure she wouldn't hurt anymore of their friends.

[ that's the most diplomatic way of saying it. ]

I think it was letters that multiple people got. Senri-kun got one, too.

I understand protecting your friend, even if you did think she was doing something wrong.

[ which isn't a great thing to admit, but it's true. Madoka is very easily swayed by emotions and friendship. ]

But... Can I ask? What did she say to make hurting Ray-kun okay?

[hairckervoice]

It was not okay. [ she won't make excuses for that. ] But nothing in this situation is.

She believed he was a threat to us.

[ Madoka is quiet for a moment at that, because. fair. but. ]

[ she doesn't understand it's a euphemism!! ] He stabbed Guy, as well. Even if he has not killed, we believed he had the capacity. And he had a strong drive to win the competition.

All of us want to win. And Ray-kun wanted to win without killing anyone. Multiple people can win this contest, so it's - it isn't as if he needed to be eliminated like that...

.... That is not the impression I was given from speaking with him. Frankly, I expected more ruthlessness from the people here. [ like, aside from how brutal some of the deaths have been. ]

[ she's really torn on this though because - she's tried to uphold that violence is wrong. but also that the players aren't to blame for the way the game was set up.

but it's harder to swallow it when it's a friend who got hurt. but it also is hard to turn on a friend.
