[ Even though she doesn't really know what to say to him, Madoka still wants to seek Julius out. What can she say? She's used to seeing people off in their last moments. ]

Hello, um, Kresnik-san?

[hymned]

[ Julius is probably in the Parlor, humming some sort of aimless, rambling ditty when she finds him. His head tilts as a minor question, but he smiles warmly and gently waves her over. ]

Miss Kaname. How may I help you?

[frilly]

[ Madoka comes to sit with him, smoothing out her skirt carefully. ]

I just wanted to say hello. We hadn't spoken yet.

[ These aren't great circumstances, she knows - her own smile is a bit delicate. ]

[hymned]

A lot's been going on. I'm not surprised some of us haven't had the chance to speak.

[ A soft, reassuring laugh. ]

It's no fault of any of ours, really.

[frilly]

[ It still makes her regret how she spent her time. She knows it would be impossible to talk to everyone, but still. ]

I know. But... It's still too bad.

[hymned]

[ He only inclines his head a little. ]

I'm sure you'll be able to talk with everyone here eventually. After all, we have time, don't we?

[frilly]

Not necessarily...

[ Hm. She doesn't like this being such a depressing talk. ]

B-but you're right - I just need to try.

[hymned]

[ He hums a little, noncommittally. ]

I have no doubt that you will. Try, that is. Your best is all anyone can expect of you, isn't it?
